Yes, Amaze Early Education Centres offer flexible long day care options from 1 to 5 days per week, with session lengths of 9, 10, or 12 hours — depending on your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlements and activity test results.

While families are welcome to choose the number of days that best suits their needs (subject to availability), we recommend enrolling for as many days as possible. Regular attendance helps provide the consistency, routine and structure that best support your child’s development in a stable, nurturing environment.

Yes, some of our Amaze Early Education Centres do have waitlists, depending on availability at your preferred location. To join the waitlist, simply complete our online enquiry form or contact your chosen centre directly. Our team will guide you through the next steps and keep you updated on availability.

Toilet training readiness is a developmental milestone that each child reaches in their own time, and it’s absolutely okay if your child isn’t there yet. Our team is here to support your child through this stage with care and encouragement.

Nappies are provided at all Amaze Long Day Care Centres, and when your child is ready to begin toilet training, we’ll work closely with you to ensure a consistent approach between home and the centre. We recommend packing plenty of spare underwear and changes of clothes during this time.

Most of our centres, including rooms for older age groups, are equipped with nappy change facilities. However, our Silkstone centre has limited change facilities in the senior rooms, so children who are not yet toilet trained may need to remain in the under-3 rooms a little longer in that location.

If your child has any developmental needs or if you’d like to discuss your specific situation, please speak with your Centre Director — we’re here to support your child’s growth in the most comfortable and appropriate way possible.

For Long Day Childcare and Kindergarten, please bring the following:

  • Your Amaze hat (required)
  • Your Amaze t-shirt (optional – you’re welcome to wear it if you like)
  • A drink bottle
  • Bedding – we recommend a fitted cot sheet and a blanket or cover for cooler weather
  •

For children who use bottles:

  • Expressed breast milk/infant formula in sterilised bottles or premeasured containers.
  • Labelled bottles with your child’s full name, the contents of the bottle, the date the breastmilk was expressed, or the infant formula was prepared, and the date to be used.
  • Using smaller (120 ml) bottles for expressed breast milk helps reduce waste. We can also store frozen breastmilk as long as it remains frozen and is labelled with the date the breastmilk was expressed.

Fees vary between Amaze centres, so the best way to get an accurate quote is to contact your local centre directly. They’ll be able to give you a personalised estimate based on your individual subsidy entitlements.

You may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) or Kindergarten Funding (for the year before school). If you have more than one child aged 5 or under, you could receive up to 95% subsidy for your second child.

To find out exactly what you’re entitled to, we recommend:

  • Calling the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 (they’re open until 8 pm—7:45 pm is often a good time).
  • Using our CCS Calculator for a quick and easy estimate

👉 Tip: Make sure your child’s immunisations are up to date, as this is required to receive any subsidies.

At Amaze, we also offer all-inclusive fees to help families get the most value from their rebates. This means:

  • Long Day Care and Kindergarten: All meals, nappies, and centre-based programs (like music, dance, or gross motor activities—offerings vary by centre) are included.

Extra-Curricular Programs: Excursions, sports and dance, breakfast, afternoon tea, and school holiday morning tea are all included in the daily rate.

Enrolling is simple. Contact your preferred Amaze Early Education Centre directly or submit an enquiry online. We’ll discuss your child’s needs, arrange a tour and guide you through the enrolment forms, documentation, and CCS registration.

No, there are no additional charges for meals, nappies, or standard in-centre activities.

We ask that families provide two weeks’ written notice if they wish to withdraw from care. This helps us manage enrolments and staffing. For more details, refer to your centre’s enrolment agreement or speak with our team.

The Government is introducing the 3-Day Guarantee, giving eligible families 72 hours of subsidised child care per fortnight, regardless of work or activity hours.

Families with a household income under $535,279 who meet Australian residency requirements.

No. The 72 hours apply across the fortnight, so you can mix and match days as needed.

No. CCS reduces your fees, but families still pay a gap fee.

Yes. First Nations families and those with higher participation hours, exemptions, or ACCS may receive up to 100 hours per fortnight.

Most families will transition automatically, but it’s a good idea to check that your income estimate and details are up to date.

More guaranteed hours mean more play-based learning, social development, and consistent routines that support school readiness.

Many families will save hundreds to thousands of dollars per year with more subsidised hours.

Our team is always here to help – contact us anytime to chat or book a centre tour.

Each day at Amaze Early Education Centres is structured to balance play, learning, meals, rest, and outdoor exploration. Children participate in age-appropriate activities and developmental programs led by our educators, with numerous opportunities for creativity, social interaction, and connection to the natural world.

Our curriculum incorporates the Early Years Learning Framework, the 3a approach, the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and Bush Kindy experiences, and is aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Approved Program.

We provide five tailored programs based on children’s developmental stages:

  • Learners (0–12 months)
  • Explorers (12 months–2 years)
  • Discoverers (2–3 years)
  • Investigators (3–4 years)
  • Conquerors (3–5 years)

Our Conquerors program (3–5 years) is specifically designed to prepare confident, capable learners for their transition to school. It balances structured learning with hands-on exploration, nurturing curiosity, independence, and a strong sense of self.

Children build early literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities such as storytelling, early writing, counting, pattern recognition, and collaborative problem-solving. Social competence is fostered through group projects, shared responsibilities, and opportunities to express themselves and listen to others.

Aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines, the program also introduces school-like routines and age-appropriate challenges to help children adjust to the expectations of primary school. We embed cultural diversity and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout the curriculum, and our educators work closely with families to ensure every child’s transition is supported and positive.

Yes, we schedule daily rest or nap times tailored to the age and individual needs of each child, providing a calm and comfortable environment to recharge.

Yes, we provide Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and a Late Snack for all age groups. At Amaze, we recognise the importance of nutrition in early childhood development. That’s why we have an on-site Amaze chef who prepares fresh, home-cooked meals every day that are both nutritious and tasty.

Our meals are carefully crafted with guidance from a qualified dietitian to ensure your child receives a balanced and healthy diet while in our care. We also cater to individual needs, including allergies, cultural preferences, and age-appropriate portions.

Mealtimes are more than just food—they’re moments of connection, routine, and joy that help children feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive.

We recommend you bring your child for a visit and a play at your chosen Amaze Childcare Centre. We have an open-door policy, so you are welcome to visit as many times as you need prior to starting care. Our Long Day Care centres offer additional activities, such as Playgroup, Bush Kindy, and a Multisports Programme, which your child is welcome to participate in as well. Ask your Director for more details.

When leaving your child on the first morning, it is best to say a quick good-bye and give a kiss, then head off on your day. Lingering makes your child feel you are not confident, leaving them with their teachers. Fake it until you make it! Your Director will call you to let you know how your child is travelling, and you are welcome to call at any time.

Yes. We have a number of children with differing special needs. We have a strong culture of supporting children with special needs at all of our centres. We have links with several support agencies. As with all children, we do understand that not every environment suits every child. We encourage you and your child to come and spend time with us so we can ensure we provide the very best experience possible for them.

At Amaze Early Education Centres, we follow strict health guidelines to keep all children safe and well. If your child is unwell, we may ask that they stay home until they’re symptom-free or cleared to return, depending on the illness.

In line with government recommendations, we encourage families to provide up-to-date immunisation records upon enrolment.

Please note: Up-to-date immunisations are also required in order to receive any government childcare subsidies, including the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Additionally, we encourage open communication and welcome any questions or feedback to help ensure your child’s experience is personalised and positive.

At Amaze Early Education Centres, we take a positive and supportive approach to behaviour guidance. Our educators focus on building strong, respectful relationships with children and helping them develop the social and emotional skills they need to thrive. We use age-appropriate strategies that encourage self-regulation, empathy, and problem-solving. This includes modelling positive behaviour, setting clear expectations, and guiding children through conflict resolution in calm and constructive ways. Our approach is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework and informed by child development research, including  3a (Abecedarian Approach Australia), which emphasises responsive interactions and emotional support. We also work closely with families to ensure consistency and understanding between home and centre.
