In the Conquerors Room, we support children through the final stages of their early learning journey as they prepare for a successful transition to school. Our program balances structured learning sessions with hands-on exploration, fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence.
The curriculum focuses on building strong literacy and numeracy foundations through activities like storytelling, early writing, counting, pattern recognition, and collaborative problem-solving. Social competence is developed through guided group projects, shared responsibilities, and opportunities to express thoughts, ask questions, and listen to others.
Aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines, our learning environment includes school-like routines, intentional teaching, and age-appropriate challenges that help children adjust to the expectations of primary school. Children are encouraged to take initiative, make independent decisions, and develop a strong sense of self.
We also celebrate cultural diversity and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout the curriculum. Educators partner with families to ensure each child’s transition to school is supported and positive.
