Giving Children The Best Start For A Brighter Future

Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

The early years of a child’s life are a pivotal period characterised by exploration and discovery. It’s a time for nurturing curiosity, fostering growth and shaping the individual they will become. That’s why our entire approach to teaching and learning is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – a nationally recognised early childhood education program that sets the foundation for lifelong learning, growth, and well-being.

Designed for children from birth to five years, the early childhood learning framework focuses on holistic development, encouraging children to thrive across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.

A roadmap to support children's learning and development

What is the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)?

The Early Years Learning Framework is Australia’s national guideline for early childhood education programs, providing educators with a blueprint to support children’s learning and development. At its core, the EYLF focuses on five key learning outcomes. Here’s what they mean for your child:

Three Key Concepts

The Early Years Learning Framework

Belonging

Children grow and learn best when they feel safe, secure, and part of a community, connected with family, educators, peers and their environment.

Being

Childhood is a time to explore, play, wonder and just be. The EYLF values this natural, unhurried time for children to enjoy, discover and learn at their own pace.

Becoming

Through everyday experiences, relationships and guided learning, children gradually build skills, confidence, resilience and independence, shaping who they will become.

FAQ

Yes. All approved early childhood education and care services across Australia, including those in Queensland, are required to base their educational programs on an approved learning framework, with the EYLF being the national standard for children from birth to five years (ACECQA).

We use EYLF-inspired portfolios with photos, notes, and goals, shared via app, so you see their progress unfold in real time, celebrating every milestone together.
